Yesterday I also baked a pound cake for a friend. The cake needs to be shipped so packing it carefully is a consideration. I have beautiful pink cake boxes I put my cakes in & went to put the cake in one when I discovered I did not have a cakeboard of the proper size. There’s no way I can go to the store, buy one & make it to FedEx for today’s shipment. Ack how could I have overlooked this! It happens.

The solution quickly occurs to me. I have several large rectangluar cakeboards that I can use to cut one the right size. Nothing to it. So that’s what I did. While I’m in the kitchen hunting a few cookies to add to the shipment, Sarah asks me if I need the rest of the cakeboard. I tell her no & she’s pleased. Tells me she’s going to use it. That’s fine with me.

Walk into the den to add the cookies to the package and that’s when it happened. I just about folded over with laughter when I saw her. Sarah has popped her head through the cutout section of the cakeboard & is using it as a picture frame around her head. Yes, life is many things here in the Spears household, but boring is seldom one of them!

I believe Sarah is having a bit of fun with this, don't you?
