I called last night about an ad in the local paper. Free apples if you pick them. Liked the sound of that! Called & got directions to the location of the apple tree. Asked if it would be alright to pick them today. Assent was given. So I made arrangements with friends of mine to go with us to get the apples.
Got up & had a very pleasant drive to the apple tree. Surprise! It’s not an apple tree, but a crabapple tree. Eric & I debate for a short time about picking them. We decide there are too many of them to resist & we’re bound to find recipes on the net. I had brought ladders so we were prepared. It didn’t take long & plenty of crabapples had been picked for both familes.

Brought my bags of crabapples home & got on the computer. Took some time but found several recipes specifically for crabapples. A couple of sites said they could be used in any apple recipe so I might see that works. But for today, I just read & made plans for the crabapples. Didn’t do any baking.
However, I did get a phone call from a landlord that has some rental property I viewed yesterday. Was told that another suite in the same building had just become available & thought it might suit me better for my cake shop. Sarah & I went & looked at it. It has possibilities. So now I’m plotting & planning & figuring, trying to make a decision.
